How concentration effects our daily lives. Whenever it comes to concentration, i can hardly concentrate for 20-30 minutes. In any task like reading books, writing or any project and after continuosly working for half an  hour, i feel very exhausted like i need se rest.  I feel so distracted by own thoughts while doing any work. Do you feel the same.??? The reason why we are unable to focus properly is ADHA(Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder). You may have many questions like is it a problem.??  Emotional eating 

Let's know about emotional eating. It may sound like hnn is it a problem.?? But yes, it is not a problem for short term but it can become a problem for long term. We take food for nourishment and energy levels but what overeating does.??? Is it harmful for us.?? We will figure it out.


 what is real hunger..?

If we are really starving then we don't want any specific kind of food. We take whatever is available to us at that time. We don't make choices there and that food even becomes tasty for us. We just get excited for food. Its only one thing that just runs at that time is only food.

Emotional eating 

In emotional eating, we connect food to our emotions and be become  more specific that   i want to eat that only and this happens when we are in bad mood kind of stress, tension or any negative feelings and to cover up that we just overeat and there are also consequences of that. 

Why do we connect our emotions to food..??

Generally, we see this while we deal with  any kind of problems relating to some negative thoughts, stress, anxiety and tension. We feel emptiness inside us something kind of void in ourselves. To fill that void emptiness we find it quick solution for filling it. No one want to feel alone or empty  from inside. People may find this food, alcohol and cigarettes but here we talking about food so let's find out why do we eat unhealthy.

Why do we eat unhealthy food to avoid stress..??

As we know when we feel tensed or anxious mind becomes so much restless and it scares us with its continuous negative thinking and we lost control on our mind. So, after eating so much of junk food we divert that energy into digestion and we know sugary item and junk food takes more energy and time to digest it and as energy diverts we feel relaxed for some time. So, for short period of time it is okay but for long term it effects you.

Basically what is emotional eating when we eat something with connecting it to our emotions. There are many reasons why do we eat but not every case is sign of emotional eating. Let's know how many reasons for eating.

Reasons of eating

1. Eating as a reward

Now, you would think is it a problem then surely it's not a problem. It is actually good. So in this if you go in restaurant for dinner with your family or friends for any kind of celebration like anniversary, birthday or any accomplishment and you are enjoying it as reward then it is perfectly fine.

2. Eating for entertainment

Sometimes we go for any movie and have some popcorn with movie here we don't eat because we are starving but just for entertainment and to enjoy. We could  buy some potato chips for entertainment also. Now, it is also okay. Nothing to be worry in this.

3. Eating to avoid tension

In this, if we just had a bad day in office or any other problem in life and there is so much stress of that then we just want to eat something and that something is very specific and generally this includes some junk food or any sugary item to avoid all that negative thoughts going in our head but in consequence of that overeating makes us more regretful.

4. Eating in fatigue or boredom 

This happens sometimes we eat just to avoid boredom or laziness but problem is gain same we do not prefer something healthy we go for junk food or any sugary thing.




Consequences of overeating or emotional eating

Whenever you take food without real hunger your body has to do lot of hard work to digest it and it may become the reason of constipation or any stomachache and then you feel more regret than previous state. Because stress is again and now with stomachache and situation becomes more restless.


How to avoid this emotional eating

1. Find your triggers 

You must find out triggers for this. When do  you do it. Is there any permanent thought of feelings or any stress. After finding this whenever it comes to you, you should go for solution of that problems rather than escape from it. We can call it escape to avoid that we go for food and divert energy. There are so many ways to control your thoughts.

2. Eat mindfully 

Eat mindfully means whenever you start to eat just ask yourself and clears it to yourself that it is real hunger and avoid your phone and T.V while eating. Stay focused to your food. When we eat mindfully then saliva comes in our mouth which helps in digestion. So there will be no digestive problem. 


3. Take break while eating

We should never eat in hurry. We heard it before also that we should eat food  chewing it properly  because digestion already starts in our mouth there are so many enzymes in our saliva which helps in digestion. If digestion occurs properly then there would be no problem related to stomach. So, we must eat with pause and have little bit. 

conclusion

i will say we should avoid emotional eating or overeating it harms us mentally and physically. EAT MINDFULLY AND SLOWLY.
